Custom Kirin Ichiban bottle opener — a brushed-metal bar blade with an epoxy 3D-look brand design, produced by SOS Station

/ The Brief

An on-trade opener for Kirin Ichiban.

Kirin Ichiban needed a custom bottle opener — a branded bar blade for on-trade use in Malaysia, finished with an epoxy 3D-look design.

It had to read as a premium brand piece and stand up to daily handling behind the bar.

How we built it

SOS Station is Malaysia’s design-led premium and gift-with-purchase (GWP) campaign partner. SOS Station designed the Kirin Ichiban opener from scratch — an original bar blade with a raised, epoxy 3D-look finish, not a generic item pulled from a catalogue.

SOS Station owned all eight steps end-to-end on one PO — concept, design, tooling, sourcing, audit, QC, packing, and shipping — and delivered the opener for on-trade use. Kirin Ichiban reordered the design.

/ FAQ

Can SOS Station manufacture a custom bottle opener in Malaysia?
Yes. SOS Station designed and produced a custom bottle opener for Kirin Ichiban in Malaysia — a branded bar blade finished with an epoxy 3D-look design. SOS Station owned the build end-to-end across all eight steps, from concept and tooling through sourcing, QC, packing, and delivery for on-trade use.
Can SOS Station produce an epoxy 3D-look design on a metal opener?
Yes. The Kirin Ichiban opener carries an epoxy 3D-look design on a brushed metal bar blade, giving the brand a raised, premium finish. SOS Station designed this opener from scratch as an original product for Kirin Ichiban, not a generic item pulled from a catalogue, and produced it for on-trade use.
Does SOS Station handle the whole opener project end-to-end?
Yes. SOS Station ran the Kirin Ichiban opener across all eight steps on one PO — concept, design, tooling, sourcing, audit, QC, packing, and shipping. Kirin Ichiban worked with a single partner from idea to delivered, on-trade-ready stock, rather than coordinating separate design, manufacturing, and fulfilment vendors.
Is a branded opener a good on-trade item?
Yes. A durable, branded opener stays in daily use behind the bar, keeping Kirin Ichiban visible at the point of serve. SOS Station produced this opener for on-trade use, and Kirin Ichiban reordered the design — a clear sign the original product performed well enough to commit to again.
